    Description

    This is out of a really early shoe repair place somewhere and was flatbelt driven. Looks like the repairman could grind,like a sole to fit,buff,polish etc. It has two short mounting stands that the shaft would spin in,the old lubrication from them has weeped out and could use cleaning up. They would have gone into holes in the top of a workbench or into a separate base of some kind. The shaft is solid 1 1/4" steel and almost 4' long so this thing is heavy.  Something to hang on the wall of the shop for history if you're into shoes or shoe repair.
